Raisely ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Raisely fundraising platform at raisely.polsia.app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
By using Raisely, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account information — email address, name, company name when you sign up or join the waitlist.
- Startup information — company metrics, funding stage, sector, target raise, website URL, traction data, and other pitch-related information you enter into the platform.
- Pitch materials — any documents or files you upload to the data room or share with investors.
- Communications — emails you send to us, support requests, and feedback.
1.2 Information from Your Google Account (Gmail Integration)
Scope: Raisely requests only the gmail.send OAuth permission. This grants us the ability to send emails on your behalf only. We do not request and cannot access, read, modify, delete, or index any emails in your Gmail inbox, drafts, or any other folder.
When you authorize the Gmail integration, we access:
- Your Gmail address (used as the "From" address for outreach emails);
- Your name as registered with Google (used as the sender display name).
We do not store the content of any emails sent through your Gmail account beyond what is logged within the Raisely platform for your own outreach tracking (e.g., which investors were contacted and when).
1.3 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, interactions with the platform (timestamps, click events).
- Device and browser data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL.
- Cookies and local storage — session tokens and a visitor identifier for analytics (stored in
localStorage).
1.4 Publicly Available Information
To generate your pitch deck and investor matches, we may fetch publicly available information about your company from your website and other public sources (Crunchbase, LinkedIn, news articles, etc.) using automated tools. We use this data only to improve the quality of AI-generated outputs for your benefit.
2. How We Use Your Information
| Purpose | Data Used |
|---|---|
| Generate and display your pitch deck | Startup info, public website data, AI generation |
| Match and score investors for your pipeline | Stage, sector, raise size, startup info |
| Draft and send investor outreach emails | Gmail OAuth (send only), investor profiles, startup info |
| Host and share data room documents | Files you upload, shared link access logs |
| Operate and improve the platform | Usage data, error logs, analytics |
| Send transactional emails (account, billing) | Email address |
| Prevent fraud and enforce Terms | Account info, IP address, usage patterns |
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising.
3. Google API Services — Limited Use Disclosure
Raisely's use of information received from Google APIs (Gmail OAuth) adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
- We use Gmail OAuth data only to send investor outreach emails on your behalf — no other purpose.
- We do not transfer Gmail data to third parties except as necessary to send emails (e.g., Google's own mail servers).
- We do not use Gmail data to serve advertisements.
- We do not use Gmail data to train AI or machine learning models.
- We do not allow humans to read Gmail user data unless you explicitly request support, the law requires it, or security review is necessary for abuse prevention.
4. AI-Generated Content and Data Processing
To generate pitch decks and investor matches, we send your startup information to third-party AI providers (including OpenAI). These providers process your data to generate outputs and are bound by their own privacy and security policies.
We do not use your pitch materials, financial metrics, or company data to train AI models for general use. Data is processed transiently to produce outputs for you.
5. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers — we use third-party vendors for hosting (Render), database services (Neon/PostgreSQL), payment processing (Stripe), AI generation (OpenAI), and email delivery (Google). These providers access only the data necessary to perform their services.
- Investor outreach — when you approve and send an outreach email, your name, company name, and pitch materials are sent to the investor recipient. You control which investors receive outreach.
- Shared deck links — when you generate a shareable deck link, anyone with that link can view your pitch deck. Do not share links publicly if you want access restricted.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
- Business transfers — if Raisely is acquired or merged, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon, with servers located in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted connections (TLS) for all data in transit;
- Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel;
- Secure storage of OAuth tokens — Gmail tokens are stored encrypted in our database.
No system is 100% secure. If you become aware of any security vulnerability, please contact us at support@raisely.polsia.app.
7. Your Rights and Choices
7.1 Access and Correction
You can view and update most of your account and startup information directly within the Raisely dashboard. For other data access or correction requests, contact us.
7.2 Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@raisely.polsia.app. We will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.
7.3 Revoking Gmail Access
You can disconnect Gmail at any time from your Raisely dashboard (Settings → Connections). You can also revoke access via your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. After revocation, we will no longer be able to send emails on your behalf, and any stored Gmail tokens will be deleted from our systems within 24 hours.
7.4 Email Communications
We may send you transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts) and product update emails. You may opt out of non-transactional emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. Specifically:
- Account and startup data: retained while your account is active + 90 days after deletion;
- Gmail OAuth tokens: deleted within 24 hours of access revocation or account deletion;
- Billing records: retained for 7 years as required by tax and accounting laws;
- Usage logs: retained for up to 12 months.
9. Children's Privacy
Raisely is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, contact us immediately.
10. Links to Third-Party Sites
The Service may include links to third-party websites (investor profiles, company websites). These sites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party sites.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via a notice in the Service at least 7 days before the changes take effect. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
